Harry Redknapp is proving a popular contestant on the 2018 version of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
But whatever ‘Arry does down under, it will surely never top the moment he lost his temper after being smacked in the head with a stray football!
The incident happened during his second spell as Portsmouth boss, which finished in October 2008.
‘Arry was giving an interview to Sky Sports when a stray football hit him and it’s fair to say he was not best pleased.
It’s not clear who kicked the ball but after Redknapp gave his player a piece of his mind he muttered the famous words while the camera was still rolling: “No wonder he’s in the f****** reserves”.
WARNING: The video contains shocking language!
Harry is proving one of the most popular people in the camp on I’m a Celeb and has told some hilarious tales on the show.
We’re well used to some of his stories, and arguably one of the best is about a West Ham fan.
Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, Redknapp recounted how he brought the fan, Steve, on as a substitute during a pre-season friendly at non-league Oxford City in 1994.
Redknapp said Steve wouldn’t stop criticising Hammers striker Lee Chapman so he challenged the supporter by saying: “can you play as well as you can talk”.
Steve replied: “Well I’m better than that Chapman.” The lifelong Hammers fans duly made his debut for his beloved club…and scored a goal!
Redknapp finished the story hilariously, saying: “He was better than Chapman too.”
