Bordeaux are turning their attention to former Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri after talks with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry stalled.
The former striker is
in talks with the French club about becoming their new manager after Gus Poyet was axed.
Ranieri has been linked with Bordeaux
Henry is Bordeaux’s number one target and they are ready to give him his first break in full-time management.
But, according to L’Equipe, negotiations have hit a brick wall and Ranieri is now a serious contender instead.
Bordeaux and Henry are struggling to agree on certain terms and it means a deal could be off.
Ranieri, who won the
Premier League with Leicester in 2016, is Bordeaux’s back-up option after he left Nantes in May.
