Arsenal target Ramires is being scouted heavily but the club are still yet to make an offer for the player.

The Gunners are reportedly battling Atletico Madrid in the race to land the Bahia wonderkid, who has impressed since breaking into the first team.

Bahia’s Brazilian wonderkid Ramires celebrates.

However, with a little over seven weeks until the transfer window opens, the Brazilian side have still not received any offers from clubs interested in signing the midfielder.

Both Arsenal and Atletico are said to have scouted the 18-year-old, full name Eric Dos Santos Rodrigues, and have been impressed.

However, Bahia vice-president Vitor Ferraz says they are still awaiting bids.

He told Radio Metropole: “In contractual terms, the athlete is well protected and our job is to guide him and make him worry about playing football.

“It is a period in which evaluations are constantly carried out and it is normal for this type of survey to arrive, that scouts come here and evaluate the athlete more closely and we are attentive to all of this.”
