Liverpool starlet Bobby Adekanye looks set to join Lazio at the end of the season having held discussions with the Italian club over a five-year contract.
Adekanye, the winger, has been in talks with the Serie A side over the past month, and The Mirror say he is ‘close to a deal’.
Should he put pen to paper, the teenager will leave Liverpool when his contract expires in the summer.
Adekanye has trained with Liverpool’s first-team this season but has still never made his senior debut. He’s appeared nine times in the Premier League 2 this term – scoring once – and has also added a further two goals in four UEFA Youth League matches.
A Netherlands youth international despite being born in Nigeria, he began his football career in Ajax’s academy system. Adekanye also spent time with PSV Eindhoven and Barcelona – the club which he left to join Liverpool in 2015.

It is believed Liverpool were keen on extending Adekanye’s existing deal, but the Anfield club have been frustrated by his agent over various demands for a potential extension.
Adekanye’s departure comes amid questions over his consistency and a failure to develop in the manner expected since joining Liverpool three-and-a-half years ago.
