Mauricio Pochettino has added Tanguy Ndombele to his squad in a club-record transfer which has thrilled supporters.

Jack Clarke also arrived from Leeds United but immediately returned to Elland Road on loan.

Spurs are now being linked with a move for Real Madrid ace Dani Ceballos as they look to add to their squad after 18 months without a signing.

But their next transactions could end up being sales with eight players up for grabs.

And Pochettino, according to the Daily Mail, is showing no mercy by allowing England internationals Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier to go.

Joining the two first-team players on the market are Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama, and Vincent Janssen.

Meanwhile a number of young players are also set to be moved on, including Josh Onomah, Cameron Carter-Vickers, and Marcus Edwards.

It’s unlikely all of them will end up leaving but Spurs are prepared to listen to offers.

Tottenham youngster Cameron Carter-Vickers joins Swansea on season-long loan

Swansea have signed Cameron Carter-Vickers from Tottenham on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old was at the Liberty Stadium and watched the Swans in person against Bristol City on Saturday after undergoing a medical in the morning.

Carter-Vickers was at Ipswich for the latter stages of 2017/18

Carter-Vickers arrives having had two loan spells in the Championship last season.

He spent the first half of 2017-18 with Sheffield United, and the second with Ipswich Town.

“I am super excited,” he told the club website.

Swansea is a massive club and I can’t wait to get out training with the boys.

“When I spoke to the manager he told me how they wanted to play.

“I have watched them play a few times this season and you can see they play good football. I am looking forward to being part of that.”

Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers could be sent on loan to Swansea City for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old America international will not be in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s squad and the club are happy to let him move to Wales to be part of Graham Potter’s Championship side.

The Swans are in desperate need of new defenders having sold Alfie Mawson to Fulham and Federico Fernandez to Newcastle in the window.

Carter-Vickers, who came through the youth academy at White Hart Lane, has spent time on loan at Sheffield United and Ipswich already.

“Last year was massive for me, on the pitch and off the pitch,” he said during Spurs’ pre-season about his time away from north London. “Moving away from home and stuff like that, it builds your character and helps you grow up a bit.

“Playing week in, week out, it builds you as a player and as a person. Mentally and physically, it’s demanding.

“I played a lot of games in the Championship, which is a hard league. I definitely feel like, [coming into] this pre-season, I’ve improved. I definitely feel more confident out there.

Carter-Vickers is due to join this week, according to SunSport, with Swansea facing Leeds United on Tuesday and picking from just two fit centre backs.

Born and raised in Southend, Essex, the young centre-back qualified to play for the USA through his father, Howard, a former basketball player and Carter-Vickers made his debut for the senior team in 2017 against Portugal.
