Braun Strowman hurt

Despite his injury fears, Strowman is set to take on Bobby Lashley in a Falls Count Anywhere match on Raw this week.

Tony Khan on ‘regrettable’ chair botch at Fyter Fest

After a gruelling 20-minute match with Darby Allin, Cody Rhodes took an unprotected chair shot to the head from Shawn Spears.

The impact saw blood pour from Rhodes’ head as he had to be carried backstage.

AEW president Khan confirmed the former WWE star had not suffered a concussion.

He said: “Obviously, it was really regrettable what happened.

“I don’t know if this is the time to go into what happened.

“We had taken precautions in that specific situation and a doctor was available and Cody does not have a concussion, and he has staples and we’re all very grateful for that.”

A never seen before match to take place on Raw

On Saturday, WWE announced The New Day will face the Viking Raiders in a first-time ever bout.

The Viking Raiders have been booked strongly since being called up to the main roster and are bound to have a title run in the future.

A win over The New Day would only enhance their growing reputation.

When Brock Lesnar’s contract expires

Lesnar’s retirement from UFC in May seems to have cooled down talk of a WWE exit this year.

The Beast holds the Money in the Bank contract and can cash it in on Universal champion Seth Rollins or WWE champion Kofi Kingston at any time.

Reports have claimed Lesnar will win one of WWE’s major titles when SmackDown Live moves to FOX in October.

And The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer says Lesnar’s contract with the company does not expire until ‘May or June next year’.

Bray Wyatt apologies to The Rock

Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House segments have been one of the highlights on Raw and SmackDown Live over the past few months.

With the ex-world champion’s new persona, WWE fans are eagerly awaiting his in-ring return, which could happen at SummerSlam in August.

Wyatt has been offering apologies to his old foes, including The Shield, Randy Orton and Chris Jericho.

And on Thursday, he addressed The Rock, who defeated former Wyatt Family member Rowan at WrestleMania 32.

Wyatt said: “Dear @TheRock I wanted you to know I forgive you for exploiting my love for frozen pizza pockets in front of the worlds [sic] largest wrestling crowd. Through therapy and and [sic] The Muscle Man Dance™, I’m all better now! Ps. Jumanji was [fire emoji].”

WWE and AEW both chasing Impact Wrestling stable

The Latin American Xchange (LAX) are in-demand following their terrific run with Impact Wrestling.

WWE and rival promotion All Elite Wrestling are monitoring the tag team’s contract situation, with their deals set to expire this summer.

Kurt Angle’s praise for Baron Corbin

Corbin was a surprising and unpopular choice to fight Angle in the WWE legend’s final match at WrestleMania 35.

Since beating the former Raw general manager at the Show of Shows, Corbin has been given a major push and is feuding with Rollins for the Universal Championship.

And Angle believes The Lone Wolf is WWE’s top heal at the moment.

He told Busted Open Radio: “Was Baron the right person [to face at WrestleMania 35]? Probably not, but look at him now.

“I think that Baron Corbin right now is the best heel in the business. If a person gets everyone to genuinely hate their guts, 24/7, you’re doing your job.

“Baron, he’s the top heel in the business right now. People may disagree, but he’s going to get the title eventually. He’s going to have a heel run and I think he’ll do extremely well.”

WWE announce Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as Executive Directors of Raw and SmackDown Live

Heyman will have full creative control of Raw, while Bischoff will be overseeing SmackDown Live.

Is it a move that could see Vince McMahon take more of a backseat? We’ll soon find out.

Most WWE fans have been complaining about the company’s creative direction for months, but it could change for the better under Heyman and Bischoff.

The Undertaker’s WrestleMania 36 plans revealed

The Undertaker made a shock return to WWE to save Roman Reigns from a Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre beatdown on Raw earlier this week.

The Deadman is teaming up with Reigns to take on McMahon and McIntyre at Extreme Rules.

But plans for The Undertaker are not stopping there…

Wrestling journalist Brad Shepard told the Oh, You Didn’t Know podcast: “According to a source in WWE Drew McIntyre is currently scheduled to be The Undertaker’s opponent at WrestleMania 36.

“They decided to start the program early to boost ratings which is why you saw [The] Undertaker on Raw this past week. Shane is likely to play into it somehow.

“I’m told The Undertaker hand-picked Drew and it works out well for Drew because they had no creative plans for him after Roman.”

Rey Mysterio keen to face Brock Lesnar again

Mysterio wants to square off with Lesnar again.

The pair’s last battle happened in 2003.

“Every now and then people will post on social media some of the matches we had, and we were doing some crazy things for that time.

“This was 2003, maybe? What you were seeing was unbelievable so I wouldn’t mind going back into the ring with Brock.”
