Faber vs Cejudo could be next

Urijah Faber marked a sensational return from retirement on Saturday to beat Ricky Simon in the first round at UFC Sacramento.

The 40-year-old was asked if he was ready to fight current two-weight champion Henry Cejudo by Michael Bisping in the Octagon.

“Henry, I remember 10 years ago when you challenged me as a friendly gesture. I’m down to get in there and mix it up,” he said.

Henry Cejudo reacted to Faber’s call out on Twitter: “Careful what you wish for my corn-rolled princess. You could be the next legend to bend the knee to Triple C.”

Masvidal continues to take shots at Askren

Jorge Masvidal recorded the fastest ever knockout in UFC history last weekend when he beat Ben Askren in just five seconds.

The 34-year-old said the pair were not in the same league in a recent interview.

“I told the UFC officials I’m so happy you gave me an easy fight but isn’t it a step back, shouldn’t I be getting better guys?” Masvidal said about Askren when appearing on the Dan LeBatard Show.

“And they were like ‘no, Ben’s the real deal’ and I go ‘OK, we’ve got different opinions, whatever, we’ll shortly find out’.

“I showed it. We’re not in the same league by any means necessary.”

Aspen Ladd loses in just 16 seconds at UFC Sacramento main event

The previously undefeated women’s featherweight fighter appeared to have suffered the effects of a brutal weight cut.

Ladd required a hoop to weigh in in order to make the 135lbs limit, refusing to take up the option of having a one-pound allowance.

Once she managed to struggle to the scales, the California-native could be seen trembling and grimacing as she weighed in at 135lbs even.

That may have then affected her in the fight with former women’s featherweight champ Germaine de Randamie as she lost in just 16 seconds.
