Pot 1 – Barcelona
Liverpool lost the final to Real Madrid last season but playing Barcelona will worry them this time out. Even with Virgil van Dijk you have to worry about how a full strength Barcelona would look against them. Lionel Messi would potentially target his partner, while their full-backs could be pinned back by the likes of Jordi Alba.
Pot 2 – Borussia Dortmund
The German side may have lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but they are improving as they bring youth into their team, including English starlet Jadon Sancho, once of title rivals Manchester City. As they look to get back amongst the European elite they could rock Liverpool.
Pot 4 – Inter Milan
After a lengthy absence from the Champions League, Internazionale are in Pot 4 so will be the team everyone wants to avoid. Milan Skriniar and Stefan De Vrij in defence, Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic in midfield, and Mauro Icardi in attack, they will be tough opponents – and then you have to try and beat Samir Handanovic between the sticks!
