Ronaldo set to complete takeover of Real Valladolid and become club president

Legendary Brazil striker Ronaldo is set to complete his takeover of LaLiga side Real Valladolid, according to Marca.

The former Barcelona, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Real Madrid superstar is set to conclude the €30million deal.

The change of ownership would end months of uncertainty after an agreement with Mexican businessman Ernest Tinajero collapsed after current club president Carlos Suarez broke their signed pre-contract.

If Ronaldo’s deal is completed, he will assume Suarez’s role, with his predecessor becoming a chief executive at the club.

Since retiring from playing the former forward, who netted 62 goals in 98 international matches has been turning to business and previously studied advertising in London

He has also been a minority own of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and was recently taken ill with strong influenza, which was reportedly incorrectly as pneumonia.
